hi,
my fiancee and i are looking to buy a coach to travel round europe in. we have "some" money to spend. this will be our first bus and we want to hit the road soon so a converted or part converted would be ideal. however we have a strong vision of the interior so are planning to do a lot of alterations and are not opposed to starting from scratch.
so far all we know is that we are looking for a single decker coach with full MOT. we've been trawling ebay and on the net but not sure if we are looking in the right places. this site has been v informative so far and you seem like helpful folks. does anyone know where we can find bus auctions, buses for sale?
we are based in london but have a car. also not opposed to going over to mainland europe to buy a left hand drive.
ps. i think i tried to post this here before but post not appearing. if i am posting this in the wrong place or doing something wrong could admin let me know, thanks.

Hi Welcome.
Not sure what happened to your last post??
What sort of coach are you looking for? I would suggest phoning around your local coach companies to see if they are selling any.
There are bus and coach auctions in Manchester, there are a few dealers which specialise in selling second hand buses and coaches also, check out the links pages.
Cheers
Jonathan

Definitely approach local bus companies, if you don't mind starting from scratch. Try to make friends, ask for advice. After I'd had my bus 2 years, I called one company to try to borrow a tool, and got chatting to the guy. He allowed me to photocopy an entire set of workshop manuals, did some work on the brakes for me for nothing, and even said that he had a better bus that I could have had for nothing, if it weren't that my whole life was already installed in the one I had!
Failing that, Ebay turns up all sorts of interesting conversions. On the downside though, they're usually a bit on the neglected side. The beauty of one from a bus company is that whilst they might be MOT failures, it's usually a bus MOT they've failed, whereas once replated, they need only pass the less stringent car test.
