Took her into the garage for her MOT, she goes through on Tuesday. She passed a road side inspection recently so I don't think there is anything serious. No doubt she will fail on something. I always go into pragmatic mode at this time of year, I have to become an accountant and decide if it is worth correcting any faults or sending her to Larkhall for scrap. You can take a bus to any MOT test station which has the capability of inspecting underneath the bus. There for you don't have to take it to a VOSA site. The benifit for me is I can drop the bus off at the garage when it suits me and the garage can fix any faults shoud the bus fail. Where as taking it to a VOSA site, you have to take the vehicle through yourself whilst it is tested and it can become complicated if you fail.

Good luck for Tuesday Jonathan - what garage are you using ?? I used the council one over on Russell Road, very efficient but friendly with it. Gave them a bit of a shock when I turned up with "George", seems he wasn't listening properly when I phoned to book - he thought I said "minibus conversion". I'll be back on Tuesday to check but I am sure Red Dragon will fly through (excuse the pun)! Regards, Jim

Got through the MOT, only a little job to tighten up a loose bolt.
Sighs with relief for another year. I had a few other little jobs done whilst it was in the garage. I asked them to grease the chassis components for me as they've got it up on the ramps. And sort out the radiator cooling fan.

Great stuff Jonathon - I take it the champagne will be flowing this weekend? Many more happy miles to you and the Dragon. You still haven't mentioned which garage you use - could be it is closer to me than Gorgie/Dalry?. I will be down at the waterfront at Silverknowes tomorrow (Saturday) to take some pics of "George The Bus" in its finished/latest state, will probably get them on the website on Sunday. All the best, Jim Anderson
