__. And what do I do with it? __. Fixed to the side of my air filter on the Leyland O-680 engine in my Daimler Fleetline bus is a fitting about the size of a jam jar cap. It has a small blue nylon-type tube running into it and another one out, I think to the air compressor. There is a translucent plastic cup (also about the size and shape of a medium-sized jam jar) that screws onto the bottom of this fitting -- the name "Bendix" is embossed on this cup. There is a small metal tag, like a little piece of stamped "tin foil" that's marked "line" with an arrow pointing toward the blue pipe on the body side and "comp" with an arrow pointing towards the air compressor on the engine. __. What is this? What does it do? Does something go into the jar (it's empty now), if so, what??? Thanks, Bruce Henderson (Sorry, no opportunity to photo for now.)

Bruce im new to buses but possibly what your talking about is a jar in which alcohol is put in to stop the moisture in the brake air lines freezing.
