Jonathan: I found the BBCS after many hours of surfing. As you said, there are plenty of sites in the USA but very few here in the UK. I live in Edinburgh and am the proud owner of "George", a 1979 Bedford YLQ Duple Dominant Coach - now converted to a 2-berth Motorhome. I have numerous pics starting from collecting George, through the conversion and up to the finished article (well almost ). I have just started a website: http:///www.freewebs.com/georgethebus to get it all on record - only another 6 days before I can upload my pics to the site. There are still a few small jobs outstanding but they will all be complete before the start of the new touring/camping season. Having found the site I hope to become a regular, if I can just get my head round joining - failed on 2 attempts so far. All the best for now, Jim

Hi I bought a Van hool Astromega double decker in January this year. I have removed the the windows and cladded with aluminium. I have also fitted seitz motor home windows where needed. I have also removed the rear power door and fitted a motor home door. I am also currently lifting the upper salon roof by 300mm to give better head room in the lounge. I am then going to have the bus painted and then start on the interior. I would be greatful for any advise or to hear from any body who has converted or is converting a Vanhool I am trying at the moment to get hold of a work shop manual for the bus. if any one can help I would be greatful if they would contact me. roofstructure@aol.com Many thanks Steve

__. Hi, Steve. I have a Daimler Fleetline (history unclear but believed to be a "P-Registered" from 1976) double decker. I'm in the middle of a transmission swap that will give me "highway speed" instead of the current 45-48 MPH. __. I'm looking at a large bedroom upstairs, a lounge at the front of the upper saloon, a small loo, and a large number of built in cupboards and clothes closets upstairs, with kitchen and a bathroom with shower downstairs.
