Designed to replace the National 2, this is basically a re bodied National 2, main feature is the drivers windscreen. Semi low floor on air suspension. Very Nippy I have not as yet had the chance to drive one of these. Still in extensive use. Lost favour to the Dennis Dart due to disability access laws and the requirement for low floor access.

A few of these have been for sale on Ebay, they all appear to be complaining of faulty gear boxes, possibly something to think about before taking one of these on?

hi .. i have driven them in service and i think you will find they are more suited to town driving as they are geared that way .. i found that the ones i drove had a maximum speed of 56 mph ! it could be that some were geared differently for open road use but i have not come across one yet .. on the whole though, they are a nice drive and are very keen to accelerate ;D but i think you may find them a bit fuel heavy for any distance driving ... i have driven many service buses and coaches for 18 years and am happy to answer any questions about them that i can anyway off now as i have my own project to worry about tomorrow . an ex london country plaxton supreme express of 78 vintage... cheers Daren
