The Routemaster, built for London this front engined vehicle has semi auto gears and rear platform entry with rear stair well. Numbering; RM routemaster RML routemaser long [identified by small window in middle of bus] RMC routemaster coach RCL routemaster coach long RMA routemaster airport ERM extended routemaster. Originally built at 27.5ft later models being 30ft [RML] extended models designated ERM Airport service vehicle features front stair well and entry door behind engine. Number plate and brake lights offset for pulling trailer. Interior features luggage racks. The coach version had rear doors and higher gear ratios for higher max speed. I have to own up to loving this bus, I drove these in Edinburgh on the open top tours and they are a dream to drive. The steering is light and smooth. Semi auto gears when driven correctly are smooth and seamless. Original engines sound the business. Many of these buses have been re engined and now have fully auto gears. Very popular so look to be paying £15K for one of these!
