I've become alarmed at remarks being made around this forum about driving large vehicles without proper training.
As far as the law and driving large vehicles is concerned I have read the legislation and have drawn my own conclusions.
I am of the opinion that if you want to drive anything above 3.5t you need a C1 and if you want to go over 7.5t you need a C licence.
If you are driving a "bus" with seats you need the appropriate D licence.
Regardless of the law and any loop holes which you believe you have found I strongly urge anyone wishing to drive a large vehicle get some proper training.
I didnt start this site to encourage people to go out and buy buses to cause carnage on the roads of the UK. I would suggest it is extremely foolish to buy a bus and drive it home having never had any proper training.
