Hi everyone.. Well, site has been found, things for bus starting to accumalate, and planned layout sort of decided on.. Now all I need is the vehicle itself. There are several available to me at the moment, but the one that I really like is a leyland titan. My question I have is, Most conversions seem to be of Atlanteans, Is this because of availability, ease of conversion or any other reason??? Is there any particular reason that I shouldn't go for the titan.. Thanks in advance. Steve

There is no reason why you shouldnt use a titan, they have not been available to buy for as long as the atlantean.
A local church converted a titan into a project vehicle.

Thanks for that Jonathan. I had more or less decided to go for the Titan. The decision has been made easier on the discovery of the titan having a huge eberspacher already fitted, apparently it is one that is normally fitted to large boats. Cheers, Steve..

(snip) Is there any particular reason that I shouldn't go for the titan.. Thanks in advance. Steve Eric, I'd encourage you to look at the floor plan layout. I bought a Daimler Fleetline and with just good luck, it has about 10' clear in front of the front edge of the stairs. This means that there's an area about 10 X 8 for an open room in the top level. The stair area is going to be somewhat restricted on any bus but I'm still left with about 16 feet in the rear of the upper saloon for a large room (in my case, it's going to be bedroom with builtin wardrobes and drawers; also a bathroom with toilet, lav sink, and shower. Lots of room. Downstair is more difficult, with the large areas of the floor taken up with the "wheelwells". But the fact that my bus had the stairs in a perfect location was just good luck. I'd encourage others to think about this factor. BH, NC USA
