Hello Gents
Sorry if this isn't the appropriate subform, I wasn't entirely sure where it should go.
Any thoughts would be gratefully received on the following.
What is the minimum budget one could reasonably convert a bus, either single or double decked to a mobile home for?
I understand that for a post 1991 license a cat C class two license is required, but how easy would it be to get insurance at 21 on a converted bus?
I am currently a medical student starting my clinical training phase in 18 months, this is most likely to be in the preston area of the country, would anybody have any experience with finding stopping places in that region they could kindly share?
Assuming I could gather together £9000 (best guess for maximum budget) by the start of the 2010 summer, how feasible would it be to buy and convert a bus over roughly three months for this sum of money? (not including the cost of the cat C license).
Ebay seems to be a source of busses for between one and two thousand pounds, plus VAT, currently I believe at 15%, are there any things to look out for in scouring ebay for a suitable bus.
Any thoughts again would be gratefully appreciated, sorry to ask so far ahead of time but if the concept is viable I would need to start gathering funds soon.
Many thanks for peoples time.

$$ all depends on what sort of bus your looking for ie old / modern , just out of service , out of a collectors shed , out of a scrapyard ... as for internal fittings , again its possible to do a tidy job for next to nothing if patient and access to recylced material ? I paid more for the screws to fit mine out that I did for the t&g or insulation !! as for suitable buses' ..that depends on your idea of usage , as deckers are fine as statics but need more care in road handling and don't like off roading ..whereas a single decker with higher ground clearance allows a wider range of mobility ? If you want something from the 1970/80's there's a few on my website , some empty , others part converted . Dave www.travellerhomes.co.uk
