Hello everyone!
My name's Glen and i've just signed up.
I'm looking to get an open top bus to convert into something fun. I have no experience with buses and no real understanding of their mechanics.
I'm looking at a Metrobus with Gardner 6LXB engine.
Please can anyone advise on what's a good bus to start out with, is it possible to pick up the know-how as you go? What are the big things to look out for when buying, what are the pitfalls, and does this all sound realistic for someone (with a couple of friends) to get their head around?
Obviously a bit of driver training, but i'm more concerned about spares, ease of maintenance, and of course, cost of running and upkeep. Do things break regularly or are they quite solid things?
As you can tell i'm ignorant of the issues, so, please feel free to fill me in!
