sorry if i`m in the wrong section, but heres my 1991 leyland swift 37 seater to camper project, sorry just had time to snap a couple of pics so far but i`ll have more detailed ones as the thread progress`s. Our plans are to turn this into the family touring wagon and take it to autocross events and general weekends away, and of course the dream of france and spain at some point... so from the start, the bus is in somewhat decent shape for its age and working life, i`ve got some rust and rot in the rear pockets, and cross members in the rear, its had some bad repairs to the floor also where they have cut it up to gain acess to the webbing of the cross members and repair them with timber!!!!! that said bar the exhaust blowing shes in great knick, runs like a clock and drives perfect. got lots of questions so please feel free to leave a comment on anything even the smallest tip or trick of the trade is welcome.. so lets get the ball rolling.. the floor, if i remove the timber element will it cause movement in the shell of the bus? i need to repair the cross members anyways, and i plan on hanging fresh water tanks etc in the under carriage.. windows.. can i remove of some of the rear windows ? for bedrooms etc..

moved it out to a shed tonight, so the work can begin in ernest on saturday, have re visited the floor removal idea and after some in dept pokeing and proding earlier it looks like i`ll get away with skining it in some quarter inch ply, also the overhead luggage compartments are comeing down, ready to frame it then so pictures to follow once that gets going, any pointers on design?

rear seats and rear metal hoarding almost out, seat lugs and side lugs removed most of the rust bits have been found and either cut out or at least knocked through and ready to be fixed, got some issues with the heaters and over the years they have leaked i guess and caused the floor and or side to become unfixed and i`ve got some movement in spots, slight but still worrying...
got some marine ply for the floor and some of the frameing timber, cost a fair whack the marine ply but it`ll never delaminate so job oxo...
