So having lurked around here for a while ad giving it a great amount of thought i've decided to take the plunge. I have just purchased an 81 MCW Metrobus for conversion. So hopefully in a few months i'll be able to add my number to your hallowed (should that be harrowed?) ranks.
Wish me luck. ;D
Luke.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. I will definately get some pictures asap. I have registered www.busproject.co.uk and will soon put up a site on here with the progress, plans, pics and thoughts. It feels like Christmas Eve. ;D Remind me I said that in 6 months when i'm struggling with it.

Well... I went to pick up the bus on Saturday. Unfortunately the alternator wasn't charging (in spite of a couple of replacements) so they're sorting that out today and I should be able to get it this coming weekend.
However, I did manage to get a drive of one of their other training buses. I have to admit as a total novice it was incredibly nerve wracking.... much more so than my first drive in a car.... but then it is 10 tons of long wide metal so hardly surprising. It was exciting though.
PS. Can anyone tell me how to upload pictures? I'll keep you all posted.
