Hi,
In the process of buying a 51 seater with a view to ripping all the seats out and converting it into a motorhome.
Could anybody answer the following questions please?
1: With all the seats out and it converted to a motorhome, what would the road tax be?
2: What would the MOT price be?
3: How much roughly a year for a 29 yr old on insurance?
4: What licence is actually needed , is it still psv?

You need a PCV licence to drive it with 8 or more passenger seats, LGV licence without seats.
1. Private HGV
2. Same as a car MOT
3. £300?
4. LGV

There is no such thing as class 1 or 2
Category C is rigid vehicle with no weight restriction on licence with a trailer upto 750KG.
C+E is as above with unrestricted trailer weight.
So unless you are planning on towing a heavy trailer you would need C (or class 2)
Last time I checked private HGV road tax was the same as the highest car band, but they keep changing it, check with the DVLA.
