cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6557275390The fellow has it listed under "London Transport Collectables" instead of vehicles... Currently, I am the "high bidder"... provided no one bids over £50.50... and he accepts things "under" his reserve! Nice RML! RML #2695 if I'm not mistaken!

I'd expect the reserve to be in the region of £10K sterling.

That sounds about right... I wrote to the fellow "apologising" for my "low ball" bid... but explained that someone had to get bidding going! The cost (for those interested) in getting a "decent" working double-decker in North America is about $15,000.00 to $50,000.00 USD (about £8,000.00 to £25,000.00). I calculated out getting an Ensign Bus RM to Canada at about $40k Canadian (about £20,000.00). For an RML, tack on about £2,500.00 on average. Still, a guy can dream and hope... and put in the odd low-ball bid! As my mother used to always say, "Ask. The worst anyone can say to you is no." In Addendum: The "seller" should have put in a minimum bid... now he's going to have to nickle and dime the bids up to his expectation...
