ive been planing how the interior is going to go in my coach, but the wheel hump is right in the way of where i want to put the shower tray. i was wondering if i could remove the hump from inside the coach as there is loads of room above the tyre (around 24"), plus i wont be carrying 53 people and their luggage so i cant see that the suspension will ever go down far enough to cause a problem, what does anyone else think?

Personnally I would not go there, even empty all you need to do is go over a pot hole and the weight of the entire vehicle could be transferred onto the one wheel.
Obviously every vehicle is different, I imagine your coach has a very small arc into the passenger space probably about 2" so you might get away with it.
I opted to leave well alone, you also have the problem of sealing it up, you will get alot of water being sprayed onto the wheel arch, whilst this may not seem a problem when considering putting a shower tray above it, the water will find it's way into the flooring material.

Don't do it! Work round it. It was designed with that there, and eventually, if you take it out, you may find out why. We didn't find it to tricky to adapt furniture round it.

ive decided im going to remove the hump inside the coach after looking at a fully laden plaxton supreme the other day, the rear suspension still had loads of travel and being as im never going off roading or hillclimbing in the motorhome it wont cause any problems.
dont worry too much sammy if everyone thought like you there wouldnt be any customised cars or bikes around. ive fitted rear wheel drive v8 engines in front wheeldrive cars and also a 16valve suzuki swift engine and gearbox in a mini clubman, mind you we had to shorten the drive shafts, cut away big lumps of the subframe, change the brakes, wiring etc. passed the mot first time, car is now in the USA.
my moto is: if some one made it, I can make it different.

Fair play I guess, if you really need to do it. I just wouldn't mess with it unless I really had a good reason. But you're right, I've customised a few things too.
